The questions that apply across every Aegentra Academy course — enrolment and access, exam vouchers and resits, GST and employer invoicing, group bookings, refunds, delivery formats, and how PECB credentials are recognised. Course-specific questions live on each course page.
Aegentra Academy is an official PECB authorised training partner in Australia. These are the Academy-wide policy answers, grouped into five areas: enrolment and access, how courses are delivered, pricing and invoicing, credentials and recognition, and choosing the right course. To see the catalogue and per-course detail, go to Aegentra Academy.
Access starts immediately after payment — the Academy team confirms your seat with PECB and login details arrive by email, usually within one business day. Every enrolment carries 12 months of access covering the course material, the official PECB exam voucher, and one free resit. You schedule the exam yourself through the myPECB platform and sit it online with remote proctoring; there is no separate exam booking fee.
Every course is available 100% online and self-paced through myPECB. eLearning programs include recorded video lectures, scenario quizzes and a mock exam; Self-Study programs are slide-based with the official exam included. Instructor-led delivery is available on request — live online cohorts, in-person classes in Melbourne and Sydney, and on-site sessions at your own offices for team bookings. Courses are delivered in English.
Prices are shown ex-GST — for example $849 + GST for Lead-level courses and $399 + GST for Foundation. GST is added at Stripe checkout for Australian buyers and receive an ATO-compliant tax invoice showing Aegentra’s ABN and the GST component separately. Employers can be invoiced directly with payment terms, groups of five or more receive a discount on a single invoice, and all enrolments are non-refundable once the PECB seat is provisioned.
PECB is an accredited certification body whose certification scheme is accredited by ANAB under ANSI/ASTM E2659-24, so the credential is recognised by employers, audit bodies and government tenders worldwide. Aegentra Academy is an official PECB authorised training partner in Australia, partner ID 232290, verifiable in the PECB partner directory — every course is the official PECB curriculum with the official exam. A verifiable Credly digital badge is issued on certification, and PECB credentials run for three years, maintained through CPD and an annual PECB maintenance fee.
Foundation suits anyone who needs to understand a standard and speak to it credibly; Lead Implementer suits the person who will build and run the management system; Lead Auditor suits anyone who will audit one. Foundation courses have no prerequisites, while Lead-level courses assume working familiarity with the subject area — each course page lists its own prerequisites. If you would rather have the standard implemented for you, that is our consulting practice: ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOX ITGC readiness and SOC 2 readiness.
When can I start the course? Immediately after payment. The Academy team confirms your seat with PECB and you receive login details by email — usually within one business day.
How long do I have access to the course? You have 12 months of access from enrolment. That window covers the course material, the official PECB exam, and one free resit if you need it.
What if I fail the exam? One PECB-issued resit is included in your enrolment at no extra cost. Most learners who use the included study materials and sit the resit within 30 days pass on their second attempt.
Do I need to book the exam separately? No. The official PECB exam voucher is included in every enrolment. You schedule the exam yourself through the myPECB platform when you are ready, and sit it online with remote proctoring.
How are courses delivered? Every course is available 100% online and self-paced through myPECB. eLearning programs include recorded video lectures, scenario quizzes and a mock exam; Self-Study programs are slide-based with the official exam included.
Can we book instructor-led or in-person training? Yes. Instructor-led delivery is available on request — live online cohorts, or in-person classes in Melbourne and Sydney, and on-site at your own offices for team bookings. Contact the Academy with the standard, the number of people and your preferred window, and we will schedule a session and quote it.
What language are the courses delivered in? English. PECB publishes some materials in other languages; if you need a specific language, ask the Academy before enrolling and we will confirm availability for that standard.
Are prices inclusive of GST? Course prices are shown ex-GST — for example $849 + GST. GST is added at Stripe checkout for Australian buyers, and the tax invoice you receive shows Aegentra’s ABN and the GST component separately.
Can my employer be invoiced directly? Yes. Either complete the checkout yourself and forward the Stripe tax invoice to your employer for reimbursement, or write to Academy@aegentra.com.au and we will issue an invoice to your organisation with payment terms.
Can I buy on behalf of my company? Yes. Enter your ABN at Stripe checkout for reverse-charge GST treatment. You receive an ATO-compliant tax invoice with Aegentra’s ABN, suitable for your BAS.
Do you offer group bookings for teams? Yes. Groups of five or more receive a discount and can be enrolled with a single invoice. Write to Academy@aegentra.com.au with the course, number of seats, and start window.
What is your refund policy? All enrolments are non-refundable. Once payment is confirmed your PECB seat is provisioned and the course materials become available, so refunds cannot be issued. Please review the course details carefully before purchase, and email Academy@aegentra.com.au if you have questions before enrolling.
Is the credential recognised internationally? Yes. PECB is an accredited certification body recognised globally, and its certification scheme is accredited by ANAB under ANSI/ASTM E2659-24. The credential is the same one issued through any authorised PECB training partner — recognised by employers, audit bodies, and government tenders worldwide.
Is Aegentra an official PECB authorised training partner? Yes. Aegentra Academy is an official PECB authorised training partner in Australia, partner ID 232290 — verifiable in the PECB partner directory. Every course you buy from us is the official PECB curriculum with the official exam, not a third-party rewrite.
Do I get a digital badge? Yes. PECB issues a verifiable Credly digital badge on successful certification, which you can share on LinkedIn or embed in a CV or tender response.
How long is the certification valid? PECB credentials are issued for three years and maintained through continuing professional development and an annual maintenance fee paid to PECB. The Academy can point you to the current PECB maintenance requirements for your specific credential.
Foundation, Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor — which should I take? Foundation suits anyone who needs to understand a standard and speak to it credibly. Lead Implementer suits the person who will build and run the management system. Lead Auditor suits anyone who will audit one — internally, or as a consultant or certification-body auditor. If you plan to do both, most people take Lead Implementer first.
Do I need prerequisites? Foundation courses have no prerequisites. Lead-level courses assume working familiarity with the standard’s subject area; each course page lists its own prerequisites under "What you need to start".
Can Aegentra also implement the standard for us? Yes — that is our consulting practice. Govern implements ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOX ITGC and SOC 2 readiness inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, with evidence collected live. Many clients combine the two: our team implements while yours trains, so the programme becomes self-sufficient.
