Aegentra Academy is an official PECB authorised training partner in Australia. These are the Academy-wide policy answers, grouped into five areas: enrolment and access, how courses are delivered, pricing and invoicing, credentials and recognition, and choosing the right course. How courses are delivered

Aegentra Academy delivers training online. Depending on the course, learners can choose official PECB Self-Study materials, recorded PECB eLearning or live instructor-led online training. Available formats, inclusions and booking arrangements are stated on each course page. Aegentra does not offer physical classroom or onsite Academy training.

Frequently asked questions

Enrolment & access

When can I start the course? After payment, the Academy team confirms your enrolment with PECB and you receive login details by email — usually within one business day.

How long do I have access to the course? Course-material access, examination and retake deadlines, and any certificate-application deadline are separate. Their start dates and validity periods depend on the selected course and delivery format. Check the current course page, your booking confirmation and the deadlines recorded in myPECB before planning your study or examination.

What if I fail the exam? One PECB-issued resit is included in your enrolment at no extra cost, subject to the applicable PECB conditions and the examination deadline for your course and delivery format. Check that deadline in myPECB before scheduling a retake. Aegentra does not publish a pass-rate claim without an audited cohort dataset.

Do I need to book the exam separately? No. The official PECB exam voucher is included in every enrolment. You schedule the exam yourself through the myPECB platform when you are ready, and sit it online with remote proctoring.

How courses are delivered

How are courses delivered? Aegentra Academy delivers training online. Depending on the course, learners can choose official PECB Self-Study materials, recorded PECB eLearning or live instructor-led online training. Available formats, inclusions and booking arrangements are stated on each course page. Aegentra does not offer physical classroom or onsite Academy training.

Are Aegentra Academy courses available in a physical classroom? No. Aegentra Academy training is delivered online. Check your chosen course page for its available Self-Study, recorded eLearning and live online options. Where live online training is offered, session dates, teaching arrangements and inclusions are confirmed before booking.

What language are the courses delivered in? English. PECB publishes some materials in other languages; if you need a specific language, ask the Academy before enrolling and we will confirm availability for that standard.

Pricing, invoicing & payment

Are prices inclusive of GST? No. Base course prices exclude tax. Stripe Checkout uses the billing address, not the selected currency: an Australian billing address adds 10% GST, a United Kingdom billing address adds 20% UK VAT, and any other billing address has no tax added. The invoice shows Aegentra’s ABN and any tax charged separately.

Which currencies can I pay in? Every course supports AUD, USD, SGD, INR, EUR, AED, MYR, PHP, IDR and VND when a live checkout quote is available. Select your currency on the course page before purchase. Paying in New Zealand dollars? Buy through our New Zealand site at aegentra.co.nz instead. Paying in pounds sterling? Buy through our United Kingdom site at aegentra.co.uk instead.

I am based in New Zealand. Which site should I buy from? To pay in New Zealand dollars, buy through our New Zealand site at aegentra.co.nz instead; this site does not take payment in New Zealand dollars. You can still buy here in AUD or another listed currency. Tax follows the billing address entered at checkout, not the site or the currency, so an Australian working in New Zealand who enters an Australian billing address still pays 10% Australian GST.

Can my employer be invoiced directly? Yes. Either complete the checkout yourself and forward the Stripe tax invoice to your employer for reimbursement, or write to Academy@aegentra.com.au and we will issue an invoice to your organisation with payment terms.

Can I buy on behalf of my company? Yes. Enter your organisation and ABN at checkout. You receive an ATO-compliant tax invoice with Aegentra’s ABN. An eligible Australian GST-registered business can use the invoice when claiming input tax credits through its BAS.

Do you offer group bookings for teams? For multiple individual enrolments, email Academy@aegentra.com.au with the course, learner count and preferred start window. Request a written quote confirming the price, payment terms and inclusions before purchase. Any price reduction must be confirmed in that quote. Teaching formats and booking arrangements remain as stated on the selected course page.

What is your refund policy? Aegentra does not offer change-of-mind refunds after payment; PECB seats and course materials are provisioned following enrolment. This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law. Review the course details and current Terms before purchase, and email Academy@aegentra.com.au about an access problem, cancellation or refund request.

Credentials & recognition

How do I verify the accreditation for a PECB credential? Official PECB training through an authorised partner. PECB is accredited by IAS and UKAS as a personnel certification body under ISO/IEC 17024 and by ANAB as a certificate issuer under ANSI/ASTM E2659-24. Accreditation is program- and scope-specific—verify the applicable credential before enrolment.

Is Aegentra an official PECB authorised training partner? Yes. Aegentra Academy is an official PECB authorised training partner in Australia, partner ID 232290 — verifiable in the PECB partner directory. Every course you buy from us is the official PECB curriculum with the official exam, not a third-party rewrite.

Do I get a digital badge? Where PECB issues a digital badge for the applicable credential, you can share that badge after PECB confirms the award. Check the specific program record before relying on badge availability.

How long is the credential valid? Validity and maintenance requirements depend on the specific PECB credential and tier. Foundation certificate programs and personnel certifications are not the same. Check the current PECB program requirements for the credential you are considering.

How can I verify Aegentra’s Australian company details? Aegentra is a registered business name of HansDivisionGroup Pty Ltd, an Australian private company with an active ABN and GST registration since 24 June 2024. ABN 84 678 444 463 and ACN 678 444 463 can be checked through the Australian Government ABN Lookup.

Choosing the right course

Foundation, Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor — which should I take? Foundation suits anyone who needs to understand a standard and speak to it credibly. Lead Implementer suits the person who will build and run the management system. Lead Auditor suits anyone who will audit one — internally, or as a consultant or certification-body auditor. If you plan to do both, most people take Lead Implementer first.

Do I need prerequisites? Foundation courses have no prerequisites. Lead-level courses assume working familiarity with the standard’s subject area; each course page lists its own prerequisites under "What you need to start".

Can Aegentra also implement the standard for us? Govern provides separately scoped ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 implementation, SOX ITGC readiness and SOC 2 readiness. The engagement covers the agreed organisational systems, processes, responsibilities and evidence; it is not limited to Microsoft 365 configuration. Academy training and consulting are separate purchases. Internal audit, independent certification and the CPA examination retain their own roles and scope.
